CILICIA, Tarsus. Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Tridrachm (25mm, 9.70 g, 12h). Laureate head right / Tyche seated left on throne, holding palm frond and cornucopia; below, half-length figure of river-god Cydnus, radiate, swimming left; throne decorated with sphinx; all within wreath(?) border. Prieur 760 var. (Tyche resting left hand on throne, pelleted border); SNG Levante 998 var. (same); SNG BN 1404; RPC III 3260/12 (this coin cited). VF, toned, some scratches and graffiti. Rare variety with Tyche holding both palm frond and cornucopia on throne decorated with sphinx.
